We’ve had a fantastic time in Food Tech so far this year! Grades 4–6 kicked things off with some delicious Raspberry Bliss Balls, which were a big hit with the students.

Last week, the Grade 3 students joined Grades 4–6 for cooking, and they’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. We started with a fruit salad topped with ice cream. This week, we made our very own hommus dip and enjoyed it with carrot sticks. The students especially enjoyed using the stick blenders to make their own dip. The Grade 3 students were also introduced to the cleaning process, learning how to wash and dry dishes, sweep floors, and wipe down benches and tables.

Ingredients

Here’s a list of ingredients we’ll be using over the next few weeks to make Chocolate Cupcakes and Pasta Salad (all known allergies are catered for):

  • SR Flour
  • Cocoa powder
  • Sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Margarine
  • Vanilla
  • Milk
  • Egg replacer
  • Pasta
  • Frozen peas
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Assorted spices
  • Oil
