Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all staff members and parents who took the time to participate in the Parent/Teacher Exchange meetings held this past Monday and Wednesday. There was a wonderful, collaborative atmosphere in the Hall as parents and class teachers engaged in genuine, productive discussions regarding how best to support our students. It was heartening to see such a strong partnership aimed at maximiing each child's learning potential and ensuring their success throughout this academic year.

Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing Parents & Friends Association for organizing and preparing delicious pancakes for our students this past Tuesday. It was a wonderful treat that brought immense joy to the school, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by both students and staff alike.

Additionally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mrs. Ady for her dedication in preparing a prayerful Ash Wednesday Mass for our school community. We also thank our Assistant Priest, Fr. Joseph Nguyen, for serving as our celebrant on this important day and providing such a reflective service for us all.  Special congratulations to the students for their exemplary behaviour during mass.

Sibling - Prep 2027 Enrolments and Open Days

We are pleased to announce that sibling enrolments for Prep 2027 are now open. Application forms are available on our school website or can be collected directly from the school office.

To assist prospective families, we are hosting a series of Open Days on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, 3rd March
  • Tuesday, 10th March
  • Wednesday, 1st April

Private tours can also be arranged by appointment through the office.

Enrolment Priority & Process As per our established enrolment policy, priority is given to current families. Following this, places are allocated to baptised Catholic children residing within our designated boundaries, followed by baptised Catholics outside our boundaries, subject to availability.

For the 2027 academic year, we anticipate forming three Prep classes with approximately 22–23 students per class.

Next Steps: Sibling enrolment interviews will be conducted throughout Term 1. This timeline ensures we can accurately determine the number of remaining places available for new families in the coming months.

Our school is currently operating at maximum capacity, maintaining 21 classes across seven year levels from Prep to Year 6. With three classes per year level and an average of 22 students per class, our total enrolment for the start of the 2026 academic year is 462 students.

Looking ahead to next year, we anticipate maintaining this structure of 21 classes (Prep to Year 6). The average class size is projected to be between 23 and 24 students. To ensure the highest quality of education and personalized attention, we remain committed to limiting class sizes to a maximum of 24 students for the foreseeable future.

Taekwondo, Music and Chess Clubs

Please note that Taekwondo, Out of Hours Music lessons and Chess Clubs will be continuing at St. Patrick's in 2026.  Please see the fliers in our community information pages for booking information.

Casual Clothes Day

Friday 20th February (Tomorrow!) is a casual clothes day for all students.  All students who come in casual clothes are expected to bring in a $2 coin to be collected in the classrooms.  These proceeds will go directly to our St. Patrick's P&F to fund future events such as the Mother's and Father's Day mornings.
