PRAYER
In last Sunday’s Gospel, we heard the story of the Transfiguration, where Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a mountain for some time of prayer and solitude. Jesus, aware of their confusion and struggles, was transfigured before their eyes.
His face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. Peter exclaimed in this moment of glory, “Lord, it is good that we are here.”
For Catholics Lent is a six week period of extra prayer and fasting, so that like Peter we can say “Lord it is good to spend this time with you in prayer”. Below is a simple prayer that families could chant this Lent:
Lenten Prayer
I love You, Lord.
Help me to love You and others
with all my heart.
Jesus, I trust in You.
COMMUNITY MASSES 2026
We had a fantastic turn out at Saturday’s Community Mass. The Year 3 students who attended received a special book explaining the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It was wonderful to meet Fr Martin who has recently joined the Parish of St Andrew’s.
Throughout the year we will be holding a number of Community Masses here in our School hall @ 5:00pm or at St Andrew’s our Parish Church @ 6:00pm . These Masses are generally celebrated on the fourth Saturday of the month (excluding school holidays or where the weekend is next to a public holiday).
Below is a list of this year’s dates, we look forward to seeing many of our families there.
Saturday 28th March
Saturday 23rd May
Saturday 25th July
Saturday 22nd August
Saturday 24th October

SACRAMENTAL DATES 2026
Below are our Sacramental Dates for this year. These dates are particularly important for Baptised Catholic students in Years 3, 4 & 6. Families need to be aware the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated in March.
