STAFF UPDATE
I will be taking sick leave from this Thursday until the end of the term, as I require a few weeks to recover from a hernia operation. I thank in advance my Deputy Principals Ms Kahli Murtagh and Mrs Rosalie Baldwin for overseeing the school in my absence.
In other staffing news we are very pleased to welcome three new support staff to the school. Joanna Payne, Alessia Raffaele and Jessica Mallia will join the school later in March.
SCHOOL CLOSURE PUBLIC HOLIDAY
A reminder to families that there is no school this coming Monday 9th March due to the Labour Day Public Holiday.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
School photos will take place on Wednesday 11th March and Thursday 12th March. Families received their Photo Payment envelopes yesterday. Orders can be made online or via the envelope. Sibling Photos will be taken later in the month on Tuesday 24th March, these need to be registered for in advance using the QR Code on the payment envelopes. Please refer to the schedule below for specific class sessions as parents will need to be aware that this schedule has been designed to work around the NAPLAN testing program:

YEAR 3 SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
Last week after our school Mass, Fr Albert met with our Year 3 students. Baptised Catholic students in this year level are currently preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time, later this month. Fr Albert spoke with the students about the Sacrament and how we have an opportunity to personally experience God’s deep love for us. Parents are reminded that they are expected to attend a family meeting with their child as part of their child’s preparation. The details of this meeting and the Sacrament are listed below:

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT
A reminder that the Advisory Council will have its first meeting of the year tonight at 7:00pm. The role of this group is to support the Principal, Parish Priest and leadership team of the school.

2026 SCHOOL CLOSURE DATES
Each school, over the course of a year, is entitled to take a number of pupil free days. These school closure days allow teachers to take part in important Professional Development to enhance teaching and learning, and to meet their time in lieu requirements for work completed outside regular school hours. FINAL PREP ASSESSMENTS & REST DAY
Tomorrow is the final rest day for our Prep students. This staggered start to the school year for our Preps allows the students to build up their stamina and be able to function successfully in the long term.
LUNCH ORDERS
Our Parents and Friends have organised two lunch order options for students to access. Below are the details for which option is available on what day. Please note that each option requires a separate App:
Mondays: Students can order a Subway lunch order via the Canteen Hub App
Fridays: Students can order a lunch order from TK Tuckshop via the Spriggy School App
