St Jude’s Tanzania and St Joseph’s Primary School Malvern Partnership
‘Fighting Poverty through Education’
St Joseph’s Primary School has been sponsoring a student from St Jude’s in Tanzania, Africa over the last 15 years. Elifuraha is now at university and we are continuing as a school to support her. Funds raised each year on Friendship Fair day cover her yearly sponsorship fee. This long standing partnership and commitment over the years by our school community demonstrates the emphasis we have on social justice. Please see below Elifuraha's latest letter along with a current photo. If your child would like to write a letter back to Elifuraha you can do so at home and hand it into the office. I will post these over the holiday break. For our new families there will be more information about Elifuraha and our partnership with St Jude’s next term leading up to Friendship Fair day.
Kindest Regards,

Dear Marta, Students, Teachers, and Parents at St Joseph’s Primary,
Warm greetings to you all!
I hope this letter finds you in good health and happiness. I am writing to say hello and to share how I have been doing recently. I want to start by thanking you once again for the support you continue to give me. It means so much to me and my family.
I am very happy to let you know that I and my family are doing really well. Everyone is healthy, and we are enjoying time together. We always remember your kindness and pray for you.
Recently, I was on a long holiday, and I spent that time at home with my family. It was a great time! I really enjoyed being with them after being away for a while. During the holiday, I helped with many home chores like cooking, cleaning, fetching water, and even helping in the garden. It felt so good to be helpful and spend time with my loved ones.
Now, I am back at school for a new semester. I am excited and ready to learn. This semester, I am taking six subjects. They are interesting, and I am working hard to do my best in all of them. I know that your support is giving me this great chance to study, and I do not take it for granted. I promise to continue giving my best efforts.
Thank you again for everything you do for me. I always keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you abundantly.
With love and warm regards,
Elifuraha Petro,
