Principal's Message

Welcome to Term 4

Welcome back to Term 4! I hope all our students, families and staff enjoyed a restful and enjoyable holiday break and are feeling refreshed for the final term of the school year.

Term 4 is always a busy and exciting time at George Street Primary School, filled with opportunities for learning, celebration and reflection. As we approach the end of the year, our staff will continue to focus on supporting every student to achieve their personal best, while maintaining positive, inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Throughout the term, we will continue to reinforce our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, encouraging students to demonstrate these values in their classrooms, in the playground and within our wider school community.

This term also provides an important opportunity to celebrate how far our students have come throughout the year. We look forward to recognising their achievements, supporting our Year 6 students as they prepare for secondary school, and welcoming our new Foundation students as they begin their transition to school.

With the warmer weather approaching, we remind all families that students are required to wear their school hat when outdoors during Term 4. Please ensure your child brings their clearly named school hat each day. If you need to purchase a new school hat, please contact the school office. We also encourage students to apply sunscreen before school and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe while enjoying outdoor activities.

We are pleased to let families know that the back gate is open for school access. Families and students will once again be able to use this entrance for drop-off and pick-up. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding while access has been restricted and look forward to making arrival and departure times more convenient for our school community.

I would like to thank our families for their ongoing support and partnership. Strong connections between home and school make a significant difference to our students' learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

I look forward to another positive and productive term as we finish the school year together.
