Inquiry

Our Inquiry question will involve critical and creative thinking in the area of Science when we ask ‘How do the elements of physical science affect and assist us in our daily lives?’. Our curious learners will connect with the physical elements of science (light and sound) within our natural and human-made world. They will communicate new learning and discoveries based on their own investigations and create artefacts to demonstrate their understanding. They will be investigating questions such as:

• How do light and sound help us understand, communicate and solve problems in our daily lives?
• Where do light and sound come from and how do we sense them? 
• How can materials, distance and actions change what we see and hear? 
• How can we apply light and sound to improve our school or community?

In addition to rich classroom activities, students will have opportunities to expand and apply their learning by participating in a hands-on incursion.
