From the Office

and just like that we're at the end of Week 3 at Raywood Primary. It has been wonderful to see students engaging in their learning both in the classroom and outside in our play spaces. The sandpit has been a big hit, along with our new pedal karts and soccer that has kicked into gear - my personal favourite! As we move into the cooler months, hats are no longer required to be worn at school and we ask that children bring along a jumper/jacket each day with them, even if they are not wearing it in the morning. Our new beanies have proven a hit!
Raywood Anzac Dawn Service - Thank you to those many members of our school community who came along on the morning of the 25th of April to commemorate Anzac Day with the first Dawn Service held in Raywood in a long time. We were really pleased to be able to open the school up to be used for this event, including the use of the Memorial Gates at the front of the school and our flag pole. Well done and thank you to Isabell for speaking on the school's behalf, very well done!
Mothers Day Brekky - Wonderful to have so many Mums and Mums of Mums join us this morning for our annual Mother's Day Brekky. Thank you to all those who came along to celebrate with us. We hope everyone has a lovely day on Sunday!
Grand Parents Day - Please pop Grandparents Day into your diaries for the morning of Wednesday 20th May. Students will bring home an invitation next week with them to be passed onto their Grand Parents.
Student Awards - Congratulations to last week's award winners; Levi (Values Award) and Stella (Resilience Project Award). Very well deserved on both fronts!
2027 Prep Enrolments - This term we will begin our transition process for Prep students joining us next year (I know - this feels like a long time away). Please pencil Tuesday 2nd June 10am-11.30am and Tuesday 16th June 10am-11.30am for your child to come along to school for a short morning session, we are happy to be flexible with these days if they clash with Kinder.
If you are considering sending your little one along to Raywood PS next year and haven't been in to visit us at school yet, please give our office a call to arrange a tour.
Thanks Everyone,
James
