Welcome back to the start of Term 2. I hope all of our students, staff, and families had a safe and happy Easter, and enjoyed a wonderful and restful break. It has been fantastic to see the students return to school looking refreshed and ready to learn in their Winter Uniform.
As we look at the calendar, the term promises to be a very busy and exciting one.
We have a number of events and activities that the school will be involved with over the coming weeks. Next week is School Photos on Monday, followed by the annual Art Show on Tuesday 5th May in the School Hall at 5:30pm, the winners announced at 5:45pm and the auction at 6pm.
Assistant Principal - We welcome Mrs Jessica Scully back to St Mary's. She will be the Acting AP while Mrs Reinke is at At Mary's of the Angels Guyra for the remainder of 2026.
Release From to Face - PE Teacher - Welcome to Mrs Emily Henderson to the RFF team on a Wednesday & Thursday.
EAL/D 2026 - Welcome Mrs Leesa Bible who will be working Monday & Tuesday with the 2026 EAL/D Students.
Our uniform is a symbol of pride and belonging. By taking care of their appearance, students demonstrate respect for themselves and our school community. Please ensure the students wear the correct Winter Uniform for Term 2 & Term 3.
Uniform reminders, ties are a required part of the winter uniform, and students must wear completely black school shoes.
Jewellery, Nail Polish, accessorises & hair need to meet the school policy. No makeup or nail polish is to be worn at school. Minimal jewellery is to be worn to school: Signet ring, watch, studs or small sleepers are acceptable. Hair ribbons are to be school colours. Hair is to be neat and tidy. If hair is past collar length then it all needs to be tied back. (Boys & Girls)
If your child is unable to wear the correct uniform for any reason, please provide a brief note to their classroom teacher or email the School Office.
CLOTHING POOL - Our school clothing pool has donated Uniforms from our families for sale. Please phone the School Office to book an appointment for the Clothing Pool.
New Uniforms can be purchased from InterSport Rusden Street.
Please ensure that you display your Family Name Signs as we have new staff doing microphone out the front in Rusden Street and they need to see your sign to be able to call students. If you need a replacement sign, please contact the school office.
CROSSING in Rusden Street, please ensure that parents & children use the CROSSING in Rusden street of an afternoon and mornings when crossing the road.
Please be advised that Monday, 25th May will be a pupil-free day at St Mary's. All of our staff will be at the Armidale Cluster Schools Staff Development Day. The school will be closed, no Staff will be at the school on Monday 25th May. Thank you for your ongoing support.
