Hello to our wonderful Junior School families!
We can’t believe we’re already in Week 9! What a busy and exciting time it has been! Our students have been thoroughly enjoying our swimming program at Knox Leisure works and we are so proud of the positive attitude, resilience and effort they have shown in the water. It has been fantastic to see their confidence grow each day!
A gentle reminder that swimming can be quite tiring, so packing an extra snack in your child’s lunchbox can really help them refuel and stay energised after their lesson.
Back at school, our classrooms continue to be filled with rich learning, laughter and lots of progress. Students have been working hard across all areas and are to be commended for their enthusiasm and persistence as we head toward the end of term.
With the holidays just around the corner at the end of Week 10, we are looking forward to finishing the term strong while also celebrating all the wonderful achievements of our Junior School students.
Junior School Holiday Plans
Miss Whittington: I’m really looking forward to a relaxing break and spending time with my partner Giordan, and plenty of catchups with family and friends (and, of course, lots of Easter treats!). I’ll also be doing a few jobs around the house. Our laundry got an upgrade last holidays and it’s now just one final coat of paint away from being finished!
Mrs Fox: I’m looking forward to the slower holiday pace and having some fun day trip adventures with my son Liam! I’m sure there will be plenty of walks with my dog Charlie, as well as relaxing coffee catchups with friends.
Mr Purdon: I will be heading over to South Australia with my family for the AFL Gather Round. We will be staying at a caravan park next to a beach and hoping for some hot weather! Go Hawks!
Ms Symons: I am heading to Yarrawonga over Easter where my whole family plays in a tennis tournament on the awesome grass courts. I am playing mixed doubles with my son Mitchell for the first time so that should be lots of fun. The rest of the holidays will be spent relaxing at home.
Mrs Maguire: I am looking forward to a few days away in Daylesford with friends, I hope it's going to be nice weather. I have a new garden to look after as well as walking my dog Ollie and having lots of sleep ins.
Donna: Over the holidays, I will be spending time with friends and family celebrating Easter. I am also planning to spend some time in the garden as well as try out a few new recipes!
Tania: I’m really looking forward to the school holidays, spending time with my family, walking my dog, and enjoying a relaxed pace. We’re also planning an overnight stay in the city, which should be a fun little adventure.
Tracey: I’m looking forward to an exciting holiday. I am heading to Brisbane and going on a cruise with a big group of friends!
Jenny: Over the holidays, I’ll be spending time with my sisters and nieces, as well as visiting my aunty in Tooradin. I’m also planning to do a bit of op shopping, enjoy some small walks and take time to relax.
Raelene: I’m looking forward to a relaxing break spent with my grandchildren, enjoying some quiet time together and cheering on the Tigers!
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. We couldn’t do it without you!
We hope you all have a wonderful Easter and break, and we look forward to seeing all of our wonderful students back at school on Monday 20th April 2026.

STAR Mathematicians
There are 3 different stars below. Can you work out what number each star represents?
Length Detectives
Last week, the Junior School received a mysterious letter from a giant who had left huge footprints all down our hallway! Their mission was to measure the length of the footprints using different materials. The students had a fantastic time investigating and comparing their measurements. They have continued to be busy length detectives by exploring how to measure and compare the length of different objects using all sorts of tools.
The Year 1/2s enjoyed their investigation lesson with the topic, ‘Can I jump as far as I am tall?” There has been plenty of curiosity, teamwork and problem-solving as students discovered new ways to measure and describe what they found.
The Foundation students developed their ICT skills by using the iPads to take photos of objects around our classroom that are shorter and longer than our giant’s foot.
F-2 PMP Superstars!
PMP (Perceptual Motor Program) is always a highlight of the week! Students rotate through fun, active stations that build their balance, coordination and teamwork skills while having a great time.
A huge thank you to our amazing parent helpers who give their time to support these sessions.
Harmony Day
Harmony Day was a bright and joyful celebration in our school! We kicked things off with a delicious Breakfast Club featuring orange pancakes, before enjoying a parade showcasing the beautiful cultural dress from our school community - along with plenty of orange! Throughout the week, students took part in a range of fun activities, recognising and celebrating the important themes of harmony, inclusion and belonging.
Twilight Sports
Twilight Sports was an action-packed afternoon full of fun and friendly competition! Students, families and teachers came together to enjoy games, races and team challenges, with the water relay proving a particular favourite! Many thanks to all the families who joined us for this wonderful community event
Swimming
We’ve had a fantastic start to our swimming program at Knox Leisureworks this week! It has been wonderful to see students building their confidence in the water, developing their skills and giving everything a go. We are so proud of their positive attitudes and enthusiasm throughout the sessions.
