Mrs Ryan's Fortnightly Reflections
The year that was!
And just like that, another year is over... approximately 190 days together, learning, growing, celebrating all that we are as individuals and as a community. Thank you to every learner, staff member, and our amazing families for entrusting us to partner with you for the greatness of your children. We are truly blessed to live and grow in this community.
Embarking on Magnify has been an incredible journey for us all, and believe me when I say the efforts are being seen and celebrated. Our staff have worked tirelessly to learn new programs, implement new strategies, all while continuing to meet our many learners’ needs. I wish them all a well-deserved break—to rest, recharge, and come back in 2026 ready to take on another year of success and progression. I would like to particularly acknowledge our educational support staff, who, alongside our teachers, have been instrumental in the shared growth of our learners. As a team, we are great!
This year, we farewell our 75 Year 6 Graduates, who have been such contributors to our community! They have grown, made memories, and formed connections that will stay with them for a lifetime at this school. As a community, we keep them in our prayers as they prepare for change and new beginnings. We wish them every happiness and success as they begin their secondary school journey, but we know they will always be a valued part of this community. To the 42 families who leave many years of community, schooling, and good times at St Mary’s, thank you for entrusting us with your most prized possessions. We hope you continue to hold St Mary’s fondly in your hearts for years to come.
While we are ending an incredible year, I would like to acknowledge the community of Bondi, who are grieving and mourning the loss of many, and the utter tragedy that has impacted our nation. As a Catholic community, I collectively offer our thoughts and prayers. As we pray as one, may our 'light overcome darkness always.
To every member of the St Mary’s community, thank you for the support you have afforded me over the 2025 year. I love my role as Principal and being among your children daily! I wish all of you a blessed Christmas and a happy new year. Stay well, stay safe and enjoy this holiday period.
I look forward to our new year starting together on Friday 30th January 2026.
Merry Christmas,
Jasmine Ryan
Principal
