Principal's Message

Dear parents and carers,

It's been an action-packed term, and I am sure everyone is looking for a well-deserved break.  Fingers crossed that we see a lot of the warm spring weather.

ANAPHYLAXIS POLICY UPDATE

We have recently updated our Anaphylaxis Policy and a key change is:

• Parents/carers are not to bring food items to school for sharing with others eg. birthday cakes (for students and staff), Easter/Christmas treats, lolly bags etc.

School-planned food activities have been risk assessed, and relevant parents consulted.

Whilst we have students who are at risk of anaphylaxis, we also have many students with dietary requirements, so this small change to our policy promotes our value of inclusiveness.

ACTING ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL TERM 4

Sarah Ryan will be acting in an Assistant Principal role during Term 4 as Gareth Buck is heading off to the United Kingdom for 10 weeks.  Sarah will be taking over Gareth's role and will be responsible for supporting our grade 4-6 students.   Lee Blackman will be relieving Sarah in the 2SR classroom in term 4.  Sarah can be contacted via email at sarah.hance@education.vic.gov.au.  

BIG PLAY OUT - 2027

Our annual school fair is not far way - make sure you have Saturday 21st November marked in your diary.  The holidays are a great time to spring-clean and prepare your donations for our toy and clothing stalls.  

SCREEN FREE SEPTEMBER

It has been great to see our community embrace Screen Free September.  This week we have had minimal screen use across the school, and we have loved seeing an increase in interactions across year levels and within teams.  What's On Melbourne has a list of many activities you may wish to engage in over the school holidays.

A reminder that school finishes at 2:30pm today.
