The winners of the 2024 Training Awards will be announced at a gala event on 20 September. As they are announced somone puts up the winners and photos of the evening on the WA Training Awards Facebook page.

24 – 28 September Awesome Festival – school holiday program

Every Awesome Festival employd hundreds of people.  

You can learn about working in creative industries by volunteering for Awesome. 

This Festival is aimed at children up to 12 year olds. 

2024 AWESOME Festival dates:

Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (ManPAC): Tuesday 24 September

Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre (BREC): Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 October

September 29 Gap Year 2025 AgCAREERSTART Applications close 

This program offers 17 – 25 year olds a paid farm job, training and industry networking. 

Benefits include a $4500 training bursary, travel funding and dedicated support.

Free Explore Starting Your Own Business workshops

Many senior students start up their own businesses doing lawn mowing, baby sitting and fixing PCs. 

The government provides free Exploring Self Employment workshops to help you to get started. There are 5 days of workshops covering things like how to set up your business it and how to market it. 

New courses start each month.
