Our Annual Instrumental Music Showcase 2024

            This year, our Music Department could not have asked for a more incredible show of support, from our College Community. The atmosphere within our Performing Arts Centre, over the two action packed nights, was nothing short of electrifying! 

On Monday night, we commenced our Music Showcase, with countless high-quality instrumental music performances from the trio of Brass, Woodwind and Percussion families. Our Concert Bands shined as they demonstrated an array of Classical, Jazz and Heavy Metal repertoire. 

Our percussionists made the wait worthwhile, as they delivered a brutally-bliss selection of solo and ensemble hits, reminding audience members of that feeling you get when you leave a stadium rock concert; delighted, with a ‘side’ of hearing loss, to confirm you got your money’s worth.

On Tuesday Night, our PAC was bursting at the seams. Friends and family squeezed into seats, rows between seats, side of stage, the Bio-box and any positions-of-standing that could be found. The two hour epic, was received by a wondrous audience with ‘thunderous’ applause after applause. An experience, I’m sure, our talented contemporary music students will never forget. 

Over the two nights, presenting just over 50 diverse music performances, with a near 100 music students gracing the stage, our team of Music Staff were left feeling like we had accomplished something very significant for our students. 

We hope our College Community had as much fun as we did!
