Deputy Principal's Message

Thank you to the many parents, carers, grandparents and family members who attended our recent Learning Showcases and Celebration of Learning Assemblies. It was wonderful to celebrate our students with our community and for students to have the opportunity to share their work, achievements and classrooms with their family. 

 

To our graduating 2025 Year 6 - I wish you all the very best as you head off to your next chapter in your schooling journey. I'm sure it will be full of many great adventures and achievements. We will miss you here at Ben Venue!

 

Thank you to our students, families, P&C, teachers, and support and office staff for another great year. Wishing you a happy, safe and relaxing holiday break. We look forward to seeing you in 2026!

SRC Novelty Games Day

Yesterday, all students participated in an SRC initiated novelty games day for students to celebrate the end of the year with their buddy class. Students participated in games including Capture the Flag, Golden Child, Golden Orb, Tug of War, elastics, skipping, relay races, hoola hoops, a scavenger hunt, gymnastics and parachute games. It was a fun, collaborative day and a fantastic testament to the cooperative and supportive values our students demonstrate each and every day. 

It was great to see the SRC students taking ownership over the event by helping to set-up each activity and support students to participate together. It was such a successful event that we are looking to hold it again next year. Well done to all involved!

2027 Selective High School and Opportunity Class Applications - Reminder

Applications are now open for entry into a selective high school or opportunity class. Armidale Secondary College and Armidale City Public School are our local schools that offer selective classes for students in the Armidale region. If your child is currently in Year 3 or Year 5, you can learn more or apply via the Selective High School and Opportunity Class Placement website. Applications close on20 February 2026.
