Late Lunch Orders via Flexischools
A reminder that Flexischools is a fast, secure, and convenient way to order and pay for canteen purchases. GNLC encourages all families to download the Flexischools app and register their child/children for recess and lunch orders. We are pleased to advise that Flexischools now offers a Late Lunch Order option for families who miss the usual 9:00 am ordering cut-off. Important information:
- Late lunch orders must be placed through the Flexischools app.
- This option is available until 1:30 pm each school day.
- A flat fee of $5.00 applies to all late lunch orders.
- Limited menu options are available for these circumstances.
Late Lunch Menu ($5.00 each):
- 7 Chicken Nuggets
- 3 Hash Browns
- Sandwich (Cheese, Ham, Jam, or Vegemite)
- Gluten-free option available
In line with the College's No Mobile Phone Policy, the canteen will no longer accept payments made via a student's mobile phone. If a Flexischools order has not been placed in advance, students wishing to purchase items from the canteen will need to have their physical debit card available for payment. We encourage families to place orders before 9:00 am where possible; however, this late ordering option provides a convenient solution for forgotten or missed lunch orders.
Melody Makers Concert
On Wednesday 14 October, Good News Lutheran College was delighted to host our Melody Makers Concert, a wonderful celebration of music, creativity and the talents of our students. The concert provided an opportunity for students to share their musical achievements with family, friends and members of our College community. It was fantastic to see students take to the stage with enthusiasm and confidence, showcasing their developing skills and passion for music.
Performing in front of an audience takes courage, and we are incredibly proud of every student who embraced the opportunity. Events such as Melody Makers are about much more than the final performance. They celebrate the dedication, perseverance and commitment that students demonstrate as they develop their musical abilities.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff who supported the students in preparing for the concert, and to the families and friends who came along to encourage our young musicians.
Congratulations to all our performers on a wonderful afternoon of music. We look forward to seeing their talents continue to grow!
