Leadership Report

Term 4, Week 1

Dear WNPS Families and Caregivers,

We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing Spring break! Whether you spent time at home or went away on an adventure, we trust it was a great chance to recharge.

We’re looking forward to our final term of learning and growth for the year.

Term 4 is always an exciting one, filled with opportunities to celebrate achievements, enjoy community events, and finish the year strong. We can’t wait to make it a positive and memorable term for everyone!

SunSmart Reminder – Term 4

Term 4 is a SunSmart term, which means all students are required to wear an appropriate SunSmart hat whenever they are outdoors. In line with our school policy, this includes broad-brimmed, bucket or legionnaire-style hats, preferably in our school uniform colour of green. Caps are not permitted. Students who do not have an appropriate SunSmart hat will be asked to play in designated shaded areas.

We also recommend that students apply sunscreen at home before arriving at school. Sunscreen will be available in every classroom for students to reapply before recess and lunch, and students are also welcome to bring their own sunscreen from home.

Thank you for working with us to keep our students safe and SunSmart throughout Term 4.

Welcoming Our 2027 Preps

We are delighted to be preparing to welcome our new Prep students to Williamstown North Primary School in 2027! We have received very positive feedback about our transition program, which is a wonderful reflection of the strong connections we are building with our incoming families and the confidence our local community continues to place in WNPS.

Throughout Term 4, our 2027 Preps and their families will take part in our Prep Transition Program, providing opportunities for children to become familiar with the school environment, meet staff and future classmates, and begin building a sense of belonging and excitement about starting school.

We look forward to working closely with our new families over the coming weeks and ensuring every child feels confident, connected and ready for a wonderful start to their learning journey at Williamstown North in 2027.

Semester Two Reporting

Our teachers are busily assessing student learning and gathering evidence in preparation for Semester Two reports. This important process provides an opportunity to reflect on each student’s progress, celebrate their growth and achievements, and identify next steps in their learning.

We thank our staff for the care, professionalism and considerable time they invest in ensuring reports provide families with a clear and meaningful picture of their child’s learning and progress.

Celebrating World Teachers’ Day

On Friday 30 October, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day and recognise the incredible contribution our teachers make each and every day.

At Williamstown North Primary School, we are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated, passionate and caring team of educators who work tirelessly to create engaging learning experiences, nurture the wellbeing of our students and ensure every child feels known, valued and supported.

World Teachers’ Day is a wonderful opportunity to pause and say a heartfelt thank you to our teachers for the energy, expertise and care they bring to our school community.

Warm regards,

Olivia Atanasovska
