CBCA Book Week –

 Friday 22nd August.

Get ready to celebrate the magic of books and the power of imagination!

We have an exciting day planned as part of Book Week 2025 and we’d love families to join in the fun.

This years theme is:  

 Reading is Magic – Book an Adventure!

Dress-Up 

Come dressed as your favourite book character or in an outfit ready for an adventure—and don’t forget to bring a book along with you!

Mystery Bag Challenge

Students are encouraged to bring a small bag with up to 5 items that give clues about their chosen book. For example: a torch, glasses, a hat, a soccer ball…

Can your classmates guess the book you brought along with you?

Open Morning 

Families are warmly invited to visit their children’s classrooms between 9:00–9:30am to see the students’ costumes, mystery bags and to celebrate the joy of reading together.

Special Author Visit at Assembly

We’re thrilled to be welcoming a guest author at our assembly to share their book and talk about the adventure behind their story.

Library Display

Our school library will have a display of the CBCA 2025 Shortlisted Books, available to browse during the week. These books will be available for borrowing after Book Week.
