Primary District Aths

On Wednesday, September 3rd, the Primary District Athletics event brought together 28 enthusiastic students from Year 3 to Year 6 for a day of friendly competition with other local school. With the support of 8 secondary helpers, our young athletes participated in various events, including discus, shot put, 100m and 200m sprints, 100m team relay, long jump and high jump. The day was filled with excitement, teamwork and a spirit of sportsmanship as participants showcased their talents and celebrated each others achievements.

Thanks to all the teachers, parents, secondary students and energetic students who made this day such a success. It is a pleasure to report that several students won their events, and will now also compete at the Divisional Athletics Competition to be held in late September. Good luck students with the next level of your competition.

Primary Division Aths

On Wednesday 17th September, Lakeside College sent a team of 8 primary athletes to Casey Fields Athletics track to compete in the Cardinia Division Athletics Championships.

We had students competing in the field events of shot putt and discus, as well as the track events of 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay. The spring weather held off on its crazy wind to allow our athletes to compete in relatively good conditions.

A special congratulations to both Naomi L (discus) and Greyson R (shot putt) who have both qualified for the Southern Metropolitan athletics championships in October.

Secondary Division Aths

On Wednesday, 4th September, Lakeside College students braved the cold, wet, and windy conditions at Casey Fields to compete in the Secondary Division Athletics Carnival. Despite the challenging weather, our athletes showed outstanding resilience, determination and team spirit throughout the day.
