Ministry

Mustard & Measuring Up

This week we were pleased to officially re-launch Mustard at our school with a Launch Party. Mustard is a lunchtime group where students can grow in or explore their Christian faith, encourage one another and discuss life’s big questions in a safe and welcoming space. The re-launch has been led by some of our Year 8 students, with support from the Mustard organisation, which works to support student groups and ministry in schools across Victoria.

In the lead up to the launch, our Year 7 & 8 students participated in an extended chapel with the Mustard team. The session focused on the theme of “Measuring Up” and reflected on the parable of the lost sheep. Students were reminded that God doesn’t ask us to “measure up” to earn His love—He loves and accepts us as we are, regardless of what society might say.

The chapel included games and activities and a moving performance of Lauren Daigle’s “You Say.” Students left encouraged to see themselves through God’s eyes rather than the expectations of others.

We look forward to seeing Mustard continue next term as students meet, have fun and support one another in exploring and growing their faith.

May God bless you and your family.
