Hobsons Bay Division Athletics

On Thursday 11 September, eighteen of Williamstown North Primary School's best athletes attended the Hobsons Bay Division Athletics, competing against a range of local schools.

Students competed in a range of events, including 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m, hurdles, relay, long jump, triple jump, and shot put.

All of our students displayed excellent determination, positivity, and sportsmanship, each competing to the best of their ability. Congratulations to Alexander, Audrey, Bailey, Charli, Elijah, Elsie, Evan, Evie, Felix, Finn, Grayson, Huxley, India, Indiana, Isla, Ivy, Natalija, and Oscar for their outstanding efforts, and a special good luck to those who have qualified for the Regional Athletics event.

Williamstown North Primary School will have eleven students advance through to regionals, which is an outstanding result, and a credit to the students for their hard work, dedication, and athleticism.

Hoop Time 2025

On Wednesday 17 September, thirty-seven Williamstown North PS students attended the Hoop Time event in Altona. Hoop Time is a Basketball Victoria run program, engaging primary school students in various levels of basketball.

Students competed in a range of different divisions, including All Star, Future Star, and Rookies, and experienced a range of different results throughout the day.

It was fantastic to see so many of our students competing to the best of their ability against other local schools, and displaying the values of teamwork and perseverance. Congratulations to everyone for making it a positive experience.

A special thank you to Mr Reese and Ms Sam for coming along, and to the parents who were able to attend, support, and assist with scoring and coaching teams. Your willingness to contribute is greatly appreciated.

I hope everyone is keen to get on the court again next year.

Loud Shirt Day - Friday 17 October 2025

Turn up the volume for kids with hearing loss!

Loud Shirt Day is the boldest, brightest, most feel-good fundraiser across Australia and New Zealand – and it’s all for a seriously good cause. Each year, workplaces, schools, families and friends throw on their loudest shirts to raise funds and awareness for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Funds raised help provide life-changing services like speech therapy, audiology, early intervention and family support – giving kids with hearing loss the tools they need to thrive.

WNPS students and staff can wear LOUD shirts of any kind on Friday 17 October.

If you wish to donate, you can do so via the link below. All donations $2 and over are considered tax deductible, and can be claimed as a tax deduction. All Loud Shirt Day charities are registered Deductible Gift Recipients, and can provide tax deductible receipts to your donors.
