We have a great few weeks ahead as we finish Term 3....
DADS AND DONUTS - THIS FRIDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER, 7.45am-9.00am
See you all on Friday morning for a donut and chocolate milk!
Also, this Father’s Day, the Dads of Gardenvale (DOGs) have brewed up something special — a limited-edition beer, crafted just for the occasion! The Dishlicker "Pure Bred" Pilsener. You can enjoy it from Father’s Day through to the end of September at The Local Taphouse and Stomping Ground, Moorabbin. Even better, for every pint sold, $1 will be donated to Gardenvale Primary School. So gather your friends, raise a glass, and help us support our school — one pint at a time!
2025 DISCO - FRIDAY12TH SEPTEMBER
Neon theme...Junior students 5-6.30pm, Senior students 7-8.30pm.
This year's disco will be a cashless event. You will need to book a ticket for your child, which includes entry and a sausage, then you will need to purchase HERRRBy Bucks that they will use towards fairy floss, photo booth, hair spray etc!
The HERRRBy Bucks will look like a credit card and will be distributed to students the week before the disco. They will also be given amazing lanyards to connect their HERRRBy bucks to. Thank you to PICHA GROUP for donating the lanyards and printing the HERRRBy bucks. The price list is on the second page of the flyer so you can work out how many HERRRBy bucks you may need. https://compasstix.com/e/mnfa8j5qmu

We also need help with security and the pack up .... many hands make light work so please sign up for 1 hour 8:30-9:30pm and make a huge difference!
Reminder students are not allowed into the discos early so if you are volunteering please get a friend to bring your child! It really makes it hard to set up and prepare when students are around.
PFA MEETING- WEDNESDAY 17th September, 7.30pm
Senior Campus Staff Room. All are welcome. We will wrap up Term 3 and plan Term 4.
SECOND HAND UNIFORM SALE - FRIDAY 10TH OCTOBER - 8:40 - 9:10AM
We are holding our last uniform sale for 2025, the first week back in Term 4, Friday 10th October. We have a plentiful supply of stock, so this time we are not taking donations of used uniforms other than recent jumpers and hoodies, dresses and any new uniform pieces. Please drop off at the Junior Campus office.
THANK YOU FROM TRICA CIAMPA
From the team at Women and Mentoring, and most importantly, the women we walk alongside, I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Gardenvale PFA, the mums who attended your mothers' day event, and to you both for all the work behind the scenes.
We are all so appreciative of the donation and gifted items, where we could create some lovely gift boxes that we sent out just before the school holidays. (We were able to tailor the gift packs with some other donated items we had such as Lego, books and toiletries).
The initiative From One Mother to Another was not only generous, but deeply meaningful for the women who received the gift packs. I wanted to share just a couple of pieces of feedback we’ve received:
“Thank you for the beautiful gift that arrived in the mail for me. It made me cry and I acknowledged what is said. I am trying to be a stronger person and to love and care for myself and my kids. The gifts will be a big help.” – WAM Participant
“Thank-you so much for the movie voucher and gift box. The kids loved opening it and knowing there was something in there for all of us.” – WAM Participant
Gestures like yours remind women that they’re not alone and that others in the community care about their journey. These moments of kindness have a lasting impact and help foster a sense of hope, dignity, and connection. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness and for choosing to support WAM.
