5/6 Camp
Grade 5/6 Melbourne Camp
Last week, our Grade 5/6 students headed off on an action packed camp to Melbourne. Students travelled to the city by train on Wednesday morning and were full of excitement from the moment we arrived.
Our first day included a visit to the amazing Melbourne Skydeck where students enjoyed incredible views across the city. We then headed to the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Australian Sports Museum to explore Australia’s sporting history and enjoy interactive activities at Game ON. After a busy day, students enjoyed a movie night back at camp before settling in for some sleep.
Thursday was a huge day from start to finish! We left camp at 8:15am and began with ice skating, where Mrs Watson impressed everyone with her skating skills. Students then visited the IMAX Melbourne for a massive-screen cinema experience before bouncing their way through an action-packed session at BOUNCE. Dinner at Universal Restaurant was a highlight, with students enjoying delicious pizza and pasta together. To finish off the day, students took part in the exciting Wipeout program at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre before finally arriving back at camp around 11pm.
On Friday morning, we packed up early and visited the Queen Victoria Market, where students enjoyed spending some money and exploring the famous market before boarding the train home. The trip home featured some very tired teachers and students!
Our students were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire camp. They were respectful, great fun to be around, and represented the school brilliantly at every venue we visited. We are extremely proud of the way they conducted themselves.
A huge thank you to all of the teachers who attended camp, and a special thank you to Miranda and Merryn Murray for being such fantastic helpers throughout the trip.
Education Week 2026 - Showcase your school.
Education Week 2026 was a fantastic celebration of learning, connection and community at our school. Across the week, students, staff and families came together to showcase the many wonderful opportunities that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.
We kicked off the week with Breakfast Club and school tours, welcoming families into our classrooms and sharing the great work happening across the school. Throughout the week, students enjoyed a range of engaging activities including whole school maths games, buddy reading, creative activities, specialist classes, library and technology sessions, and plenty of opportunities to work and learn together across year levels.
Students also loved the active and community-focused events throughout the week, including Walk to School Day, morning skipping and Prep–4 sport. Our 5/6 students demonstrated excellent leadership by running activities for younger students during lunchtime, helping build positive relationships.
We were also excited to host our Prep Information Night, giving prospective families opportunities to learn more about the teaching and learning programs at our school.
Education Week provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students and the support of our families and wider community. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the week such a success!
