Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day
Dear Families,
The school has been an absolute hive of activity over the last fortnight. As well as this, many of our children have so much to celebrate, both within and beyond school.
Today has been a wonderful celebration of our Grandparents and special friends with our shared liturgy. Witnessing the joy and excitement of the children in welcoming you all was an absolute pleasure. Your love and pride in your Grandchildren and special young people in your lives were very evident. Many thanks to Ibu Brennan for preparing our celebration today.
On Tuesday, we welcomed Father John Fitzgerald and Terry Harney to our school. Both Father John and Terry are members of the DOBCEL board, our governing body. The board met in Horsham and visited schools in the area. It was an opportunity for us to share all the incredible things that are happening in our school.
We also welcomed Trish Coelho from Real Schools. Our continuing work to build a restorative culture across our school saw Trish work in partnership with our teachers in the learning spaces and run professional learning for all our staff. Trish also ran a session for families titled, Raising Resilient Children. I thank those families who took the time to attend this session and for their participation. It was a rich learning time for us all.
Congratulations to all the children who made their First Holy Communion last Sunday. The time taken by children and families in preparing was a credit to them all. First communion is an important element of our Catholic tradition.
We congratulate the following children, and may the peace of Christ fill their hearts always.
Annmariya T, Jade S, Adeline S, Chloe T, Lincoln G, Amara A, Charlie A, Abbey N and Hope H. Our sincere thanks to Mrs Anna Robertson for preparing our children and families.
Congratulations to our Senior children who participated in Hooptime this week. Our Senior girls made it through to the next stage of the competition in Hamilton next term.
Congratulations also to Tiara C, Charlie A and Chloe A for their participation in the local Eisteddfod. We love celebrating our children's strengths and talents, so please always let us know about their achievements outside of school.
And lastly, we are really excited to be meeting with families next Tuesday at 7.00 pm in the Parish Centre to kickstart some community events and fundraising. We look forward to working with our families to ensure our school continues to be a thriving and vibrant community.
Wishing you blessings for the week ahead.
