Subway Lunch Orders
PLEASE NOTE -
Subway Orders to be in Thursday and close on CDFpay at 2.45pm, late orders can be dropped directly to Subway Mooroopna prior to close of business Thursday. Lunch Orders will be delivered Fridays.
REMINDERS - Winter School Uniform
Winter uniform should now be being worn during Term 3. Changes to this is at the principal's discretion.
Winter Uniform -
- All students - Grey long pants/shorts/Skort, School polo top (short or long sleeve) and school navy blue windcheater, grey socks with long pants OR white socks for girls in skort.
Sports uniform is to be worn for students PE day and all students are required to wear school polo shirt & windcheater as required, plain black basketball shorts or track pants - no logos permitted and no bike shorts or leggings, these are not school uniform.
PLEASE NOTE
- Bike shorts/leggings are not school uniform.
- Students uniform items should not have any branding or logos other than school print.
- Shorts are to be visible and longer than T-Shirt and or Jumper.
- Jewellery - sleepers or studs 1 per ear, extra earrings are to be clear, 1 necklace with religious or cultural symbol, nose piercing is not to be noticeable (eg clear stud) or should be covered, no bangles or bracelets.
- Hair ties to be black or Navy Blue.

News from Around The School
Thankyou to St Mary's Golden Oldies
Thank you to St Mary's Golden Oldies who have once again generously donated $300 in vouchers to our Breakfast Program.
We very much appreciate these regular donations that help keep our Breakfast Club running.
Golden Oldies are a group of past Parents, Parishioners and Community Members who get together regularly and run various activities to help raise money to donate back to the school.

Please find attached the registration form for Term 3 After School Activity Program. Please note - Students need to be registered each Term.

New - Book Fair update and Thank you from Maree
2026 Book Fair was held on 10th of June was amazing.
Thank you to all the amazing children, families and Staff who supported the Book fair. It was a huge success we took $4165 which resulted in the school getting $1575 worth of books for the library, this was the largest amount for Book Fair on record.
A special thanks to Narissa, Kelli and Maya for their amazing work and support on the day.
Thank you - to everyone for all the beautiful flowers, phone calls and messages I received whilst I was unwell.
We do belong to an amazing community.

New - Grandparents Day
Grandparent's Day is this Friday, 24th July.
Between 9 - 10 am All classrooms will be open to our special visitors.
And between 10 - 11 am our fabulous students will perform a Concert in the Marian Centre to celebrate our Grandparents and Special Visitors.
We look forward to spending time together!
New - Prep 100 Days
Tuesday August 4th our Preps celebrate a significant milestone - 100 days of school.
Students will participate in some special activities and are invited to dress up as either a 100-year-old person or wear a shirt that celebrates 100 days of school.
We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with all our Prep students.
New - Book Week Dress Up Day
2026 Book week is celebrated during week of 22nd - 28th August, however due to grades 3/4 camp, St Mary's will celebrate with a Dress Up Day on Friday August 14th, and a whole school Parade in the Marian Centre from 9.15am.
This Years Theme is 'Symphony of Stories'
New Grade 1 Maths
In maths, Grade 1 have been learning to find the difference between two numbers.
New - Grade 2 Maths
In Maths, Grade 2s have been using informal units and materials to measure the mass of various items and the capacity of an assortment of containers.
New - Grade 2 Show & Tell
Annabelle’s Show and Tell in Grade 2 today was her one week old lamb - George. He gets fed 5 times a day and loves it!
New - NAIDOC Cupcakes
On Friday as we came to the end of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, the FIRE Carriers sold cupcakes at Recess. The money raised will go to The Open Doors Foundation.
Many thanks go to Fran for baking over 200 cupcakes that were decorated by the FIRE Carriers and the FIRE Carriers for decorating and selling the cupcakes.
New - P/1/2 Mass
Last Friday, our Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students joined the St Mary's parish community to celebrate Mass together.
During his homily, Father Ruel reminded us that, as a young boy, Jesus listened to and obeyed His parents, setting a wonderful example for us all to follow.
Our students represented our school beautifully, singing and moving joyfully to our songs about Jesus and confidently joining in with the Mass responses. We are so proud of the reverence, enthusiasm and participation they showed throughout the celebration.
New - Tree Planting
Last week, the students in grades 3-6 participated in the Shepparton Council’s ‘One Tree Per Child’ program and planted some trees in Mooroopna!
A great initiaitive and lots of fun was had.
New - Every Piece Tells a Story
As part of our 90th anniversary celebrations this term, our students have enthusiastically embraced a special whole-school project centred around our theme:
Honouring Our Past, Inspiring Our Present and Building Our Future!
Every student has been given their own personalised puzzle piece to decorate, reflecting who they are and the unique gifts they bring to our St. Mary's community. The excitement, creativity and care that have gone into each piece have been wonderful to see!
When combined, these individual pieces will create a beautiful whole-school display, symbolising that every student, past and present, is an important part of the St. Mary's story. Together, we celebrate 90 years of faith, learning, friendship and community, while recognising that each new generation continues to build upon the legacy of those who came before them.
We can't wait to unveil the finished masterpiece and celebrate how, together, we are Honouring Our Past, Inspiring Our Present and Building Our Future.
At St. Mary's, every student matters, every story is valued, and every piece belongs.
New - NAIDOC Week Games
Grade 1 had great fun today playing Gorri and Jumping Pin, Indigenous games, with Tahlia for NAIDOC Week.
Foodshare
St Mary's School has become an agent for Foodshare. We are able to assist with some food items for families in the Mooroopna area. Each week we will have a variety of items including food supplies, groceries, fruits and vegetables. If you need support or would like to collect a bag of suppli please reach out to Meg Brown, Nerissa Russell or Ros Kempinski via the school office - 5825285.
