From the  Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to another busy and exciting term at St Bede's!

The teachers and students have all returned to school refreshed and ready after enjoying some glorious weather in the holidays.

This term we welcome back Mrs Erin Robinson who is teaching Art at our school this term and also Mrs Anna Badcock who will be replacing Stephen Walsh on a Friday whilst he does his Maths Leader role.

The MACS Vision for Instruction

In today's newsletter you will find a parent information letter regarding our Vision for Instruction. It's a worthy read and I'm sure you may have noticed already at St Bede's some evidence based practices we are using to fine tune our teaching and promote high expectations at our school.

Basketball Courts Complete!

This week our students have had the pleasure of playing on our newly improved basketball courts! Once again thanks to Jake at ShowCourt Surfaces for all his work whilst we were on holidays and our amazing Parents Association for the fundraising that made this happen. Check out the drone shot below.

PREP Enrolments - the time to enrol is now!

Prep enrolments are now open for 2026 and we have had a number of new families touring the school again this week. Parents of potential 2026 enrolments (whether that is for Prep or another year level) are welcome to call the office on 8851 4651 anytime to arrange a tour and pick up an enrolment pack.

Our final Open Day is next Wednesday the 30th of April.

If you know of someone who is yet to enrol their child please encourage them to do so ASAP. Prep Enrolment interviews will be taking place in May.

This week as a Catholic community we mourn the passing of our beloved Holy Father-Pope Francis. We come together in prayer and faith to give thanks for his life of humble service, his steadfast witness to the Gospel, and his deep compassion for the poor and the marginalized. May he Rest in Peace.

There is lots to look forward to this term at school. Please read the newsletter each week to keep informed and keep an eye on the calendar.

Also my door is always open- feel free to come and see me with any questions or concerns.

Kindest regards,

Amanda
