Enjoying the School Holidays!
As we approach the end of another busy and successful term, the upcoming school holidays provide a wonderful opportunity for children and families to slow down, reconnect, and recharge.
School holidays are an important time for rest and wellbeing. After a term filled with learning, friendships, activities, and challenges, children benefit from having time to relax, enjoy unstructured play, and spend quality moments with family and friends. Rest helps young minds and bodies recover, supporting both physical health and emotional wellbeing.
The break is also a chance to create special memories together. Whether it's exploring a local park, visiting family, trying a new activity, reading a good book, or simply enjoying the outdoors, new experiences help children build confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
While holidays can be exciting, they don't need to be packed with activities. Some of the most valuable moments come from simple pleasures—playing board games, cooking together, sharing stories, or spending time in the garden. Finding a balance between activity and downtime helps children return to school feeling refreshed and ready to learn.
We encourage all students to make the most of their holiday break by:
Spending quality time with family and friends
Enjoying plenty of rest and relaxation
Staying active and getting outdoors when possible
Trying something new or exploring a new place
Reading for enjoyment
Practising gratitude and kindness each day
When Term 3 begins, we look forward to hearing about the adventures, experiences, and special moments our students have enjoyed during the holidays. Sharing these experiences helps strengthen our sense of community and provides wonderful opportunities for conversation and learning.
We wish all our families a safe, happy, and relaxing holiday break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for an exciting Term 3.
Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy every moment!
