Year 10 2025 Work Experience

Attention Year 10 2025 students! Next year, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to take part in work experience, a valuable chance to explore potential career paths and gain hands-on skills. The holidays are the perfect time to start thinking about what you might want to do and where you’d like to go.

Take some time to reflect on your interests and strengths. What industries or roles excite you? Do you have a dream job in mind? Research local businesses, or volunteer opportunities that align with your interests. Remember, work experience is a chance to learn more about the world of work and build your confidence, so choose something that will inspire and challenge you.

Start planning now, and you’ll be ready to make the most of your work experience next year. Work experience takes place in the last week of Term 2.

What are Emerging Jobs?

Emerging jobs are roles that have appeared in the job market recently or are expanding fast.  They’re not just rebranded old jobs - they’re all about new skills and responding to our changing world.  The fields stated above are growing which means more opportunities and a need for new skills.

Why do Emerging Jobs matter?

Understanding where jobs are heading helps you plan for the future.  For example, knowing what’s in demand can help you choose subjects and skills that set you up for success.  Emerging roles mean fresh opportunities so explore these roles find your future!
