TC Family Night Under the Stars
On Wednesday evening, Trinity families gathered on Mann oval for our highly anticipated Astronomy Night Under the Stars. It was a night filled with wonder, community spirit, and cosmic exploration.
Families arrived with picnic rugs in tow, enjoying a relaxing evening on the grass while feasting on delicious food from Baolicious, Greek Streats, and the ice cream van, with space-themed music adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
The highlight of the night came with the arrival of the incredible volunteers from the Perth Observatory, who generously brought along their telescopes and shared their time, expertise, and passion for the night sky. With their guidance, families were able to gaze at Jupiter and its moons, the Jewel Box star cluster, the Orion Nebula, and the Mexican Jumping Star Cluster, each offering a breathtaking glimpse into the wonders of our universe.
As stars glittered above, students and parents bonded over shared moments of awe and curiosity. Families huddled together under the glow of the Milky Way, the night created memories that will last far beyond the final stargaze.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Perth Observatory volunteers, our food vendors, and everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a special community celebration. It truly was a night where science, food, music, family, and fun came together under one beautiful sky.
Blessed Edmund Rice Day & Fun Run for India
Blessed Edmund Rice Day brings the school community together to commemorate and celebrate our history and charism as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. The focus of the day is on service to others, where students are introduced to the local charity organisation that they will support throughout the year.
As part of the day's celebrations, students will also participate in the Fun Run for India! Students have been asked to collect sponsors for the fun run. All families are encouraged to donate/sponsor through the Online Store (button below); Junior School and Year 7 students will also receive a hard copy sponsorship form (all other students may collect a sponsorship form from Secondary Administration if they would like one).
All funds raised from Fun Run for India sponsorship will be directed to projects in India. These include:
MITHRA in Chennai: a home and school for disabled children who would otherwise be neglected due to poverty and the social stigma associated with disability.
Jagruti High School in Mandal: a school for children from the tribal community of Gamit People, people with the lowest social status in India.
Jim McGinnis’ work on the railway stations of Kolkata Feeding and clothing and consoling the poorest of the poor.
Christian Brothers’ work with the poor in Kolkata, providing education, support to disadvantaged/underprivileged families and outreach to those most in need.

Welcome back to Term 2, after a busy Term 1 for the Auxiliary. Our grateful thanks to all in our college community who supported the many events in Term 1, it is much appreciated.
We are extremely pleased that the Auxiliary Long Lunch has again proved to be popular this year, with another sell out. If you have a ticket and are unable to now attend, please contact TC Events Coordinator Melanie Dunn (events@trinity.wa.edu.au), as we have a waitlist of parents who wish to attend.

We look forward to assisting the Year 8 parents with the Grandparents' Morning tea later this month, as well as supporting the fathers/father figures for next week's Junior School Mother’s Day morning tea.
Our next meeting is at 8.30am this coming Monday, 5 May, in Gibney Meeting Room, which is on the ground floor of the Cultural Centre next to the Admin offices. We welcome any parent to attend to participate in the discussions.
