Principal's Message

Welcome to Term 2.  I hope that families enjoyed the Term 1 break and the opportunity to spend time together.

This will be an eventful term.  There are excursions and incursions planned, and the Year 5 and Year 6 students are preparing for our first Gala Day for 2025 on Friday 2nd May. The Year 5 and 6 students are also looking forward to the Camp at Arrabi Lodge on 26th – 28th May.

This week our School Review commenced.  We look forward to sharing our school’s achievements over the past years with Department of Education officers and our independent Reviewer, Tracy Hammill. The review will be completed on Friday 9th May and will provide information to shape the future direction of the school.

Later this term we will be holding our Annual Reporting Meeting to the school community.  This is a great opportunity to celebrate our achievements and outline the future areas of focus for our school.

In early May students in Year 4 to Year 6 will be taking part in the annual Attitudes to School Survey.  Information about this survey will be emailed to the parents of all students in Year 4 to Year 6.

Due to lack of demand, our Before School Care Program, Rise then Shine, will be closing as of next week. However, our After School Care Program has been better supported and will continue.  Programs such as these need to be financially viable for the provider.  I hope families continue to support the After School Care Program.

As always, our staff members are keen to work closely with families so please feel welcome to discuss your child’s progress with classroom teachers and sub school leaders at any time.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
