Principal's Update
At Dundas Public School we do our best always

It is hard to believe we are only at the end of Week 3! Term 3 has already been filled with so many wonderful learning opportunities, celebrations and community events at Dundas Public School. From welcoming our newest learners at Preschool Storytime and celebrating our Kindergarten students reaching their 100th day of school, to our talented debating team defeating Burnside Public School in Round 3, there has certainly been plenty to celebrate. We have also enjoyed connecting with families during Parent Teacher Interviews, welcomed our community into classrooms for Open Day and our Book Parade, celebrated NAIDOC Week alongside Dalmarri, shared this year's NAPLAN results with families and were delighted to welcome our local Member for Parramatta, Donna Davis, to our school. The energy, enthusiasm and strong sense of community that has been evident over these first few weeks is something we are incredibly proud of, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the term has in store.

Every day at school matters. Regular attendance helps students stay connected with their classmates, build positive relationships and develop strong learning habits. Missing even a few days can quickly add up and may make it harder for students to keep pace with their learning.
Please support your child to attend school every day and arrive before 9:00 am, ready to begin learning with their class—arrive by nine, it’s learning time! If your child is absent, please provide an explanation through School Bytes. We understand that families may sometimes experience challenges that affect attendance. If you need support, please contact the school so we can work together to help your child attend regularly.

Our Dundas Rise & Shine – Full Bellies, Ready Minds breakfast club has been a busy and much-loved part of our school mornings this term. It has been wonderful to see so many students enjoying a healthy breakfast, connecting with friends and starting the day ready to learn.
A huge thank you goes to our incredible Community Ministers, who generously volunteer their time every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to prepare and serve breakfast. Their kindness, dedication and warm welcome each morning make this program such a success.
We are also incredibly grateful to Foodbank NSW & ACT for supporting this wonderful initiative and helping us provide this opportunity for our students.
📅 Monday, Wednesday & Friday 🕣 8:30am–8:55am 📍 All students welcome
