Learning and Teaching

Last term, our school trialled a curriculum program that targets Literacy, Mathematics and Science called IXL. Following positive feedback from students, we have decided to roll out the program across the school for the remainder of this year and into 2027 for Year 1 - 6 students. IXL allows students to develop their skills at their own pace and work on specific areas based on their individual learning needs. The program provides interactive questions, immediate feedback and personalised recommendations to help students identify areas for improvement and strengthen their understandings. Teachers can also use IXL’s progress reports to set further tasks, monitor student learning and identify areas where additional support or extension may be needed. Our Foundation to Year 2 learners are powering ahead with their Little Learners Love Literacy journeys, as well as bringing grammar and story to life using rich picture storybooks! Meanwhile, magic is happening in Years 3 to 6 as the students dive into their brand-new novels for the term. The energy and anticipation around opening a new book is absolute magic!
