Cancer Care Griffith

Over the past couple of years, two staff members from Marian, Jenny Sartor and Belinda

 Mckellar spent many hours knitting coloured squares, which were stitched together to create small blankets.   Shirine Nehme, Year 12 student, kindly offered to crochet the edges, finishing the blankets with pretty detailed edges. 

A total of six blankets were completed.  The blankets were then donated to the oncology unit at the Griffith Cancer Care Centre, which is Griffith's newest state of the art comprehensive cancer treatment facility. Patients were grateful to use the blankets during the long hours of treatment.
