This year we are once again involved in the NSW Premier’s Spelling Bee. The Premier's Spelling Bee is an engaging way for NSW public primary school students to expand their vocabularies and improve their spelling. Designed for Stage 2 and 3, Stage 1 students are welcome to participate.

The timeline for the event is as follows:

Weeks 3 -7in class heats, followed by Year finals
Week 8EPS finals where parents of successful finalists will be invited
Term 3 Week 3Regional finals via Zoom

Students can practice at home with the wordlists. NSW Spelling Bee 2026 junior and senior wordlists are for your personal use only. Eglinton Public School is excited to take part in Jump Rope for Heart over the next 5 weeks!

Jump Rope for Heart is a fun skipping program run by the Heart Foundation. It helps kids stay active while raising money for important heart research.

To make the most of the program (including online fundraising), please register your child at www.jumprope.org.au/parents.

Students will be skipping during school and are encouraged to practise at home. You can share your child’s online fundraising page with family and friends to help our school make a difference.

Our big “Jump Off” day will be on Friday, 5th June. On this day, students can wear red and show off their skipping skills. It’s a great way to celebrate our hard work and come together as a school community.

Thank you for supporting Jump Rope for Heart!
