School Photo Day - Friday 27th February
Our 2026 School Photo Day will take place this Friday 27 February.
All photo orders must be completed in advance through Compass. Families should have received communication directly from MSP Photography this week with instructions on how to book and pay.
You can also access the link to order photos via your Compass portal landing page.
Please ensure orders are placed prior to photo day so that students can be photographed as part of their class and any sibling photos can be organised.
Friday 6th March - Curriculum Day (Grand Prix Weekend)
Students will not be required at school on Friday 6th March.
If you require supervision for your child on Friday 6th March, please sign them up at Team Kids for the day.
When combined with the Labour Day Public Holiday on Monday 9th March, this means families will have a four day long weekend! Enjoy!
Sexuality Education Program – Term 2
Next term, students will participate in our classroom sexuality health program, Talking the Talk, developed by sexual health nurse and educator Vanessa Hamilton.
This program focuses on physical, social and emotional changes, protective behaviours and consent. Lessons are age appropriate, aligned with the Australian Curriculum, and delivered by classroom teachers using a factual and respectful approach.
This is the fifth year we have partnered with Vanessa to deliver this important learning. We believe it is essential that young people receive accurate, evidence based information to support healthy and informed understandings.
We recognise and respect the important role families play in this area and hope the program supports ongoing conversations at home. If you would like to discuss the program further, or if you prefer your child not to participate, please contact Neil Scott at neil.scott@education.vic.gov.au.

Year 5 Students Meet the Saints
On Monday afternoon, our Year 5 students were thrilled to welcome players from St Kilda Football Club to SKiPPS for a special visit.
We were fortunate to host Hunter Clark, Ryan Byrnes, Tom De Koning, Charlie Banfield and Cooper Sharman for a 45 minute Q and A session.
The players spoke with students about what it takes to play at the elite level, sharing insights into the hard work, resilience and dedication required to become professional athletes. Students asked thoughtful questions and enjoyed hearing about life as a Saint, both on and off the field.
There was also time for photos and autographs, which made for a memorable end to the school day, especially for our keen Saints supporters.
We thank St Kilda FC for including SKiPPS as one of their priority primary schools and for providing such a positive and inspiring experience for our students.
New Guitar Teacher at SKiPPS
We are excited to share that we have found a new guitar tutor to run lessons at the school.

Our school also offers on-site piano, drums and violin lessons for students as well as an orchestra that welcomes students and their parent/carers.
