Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends,

I hope you are well and are enjoying the last of the warmer weather.

SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MATTERS

School starts at 8.50am, it is important that students are here ready as the lesson begins.

Classrooms open at 8.40am so that students have time to unpack their bags and prepare for learning,

School finishes at 3.20pm, students should not be picked up early unless their are circumstances that require early departure.

Every minute matters!

During the start of Term One we have enjoyed many occasions and loved having families join us.

Shrove Tuesday

Thank you to all our staff who assisted with the pancake cooking on Shrove Tuesday. We cooked over 600 and enjoyed seeing the smiling faces as everyone ate them in the morning.

Ash Wednesday Mass

On Ash Wednesday we joined the parish for Mass. The church was filled with people attending Mass on such an important day. Our Year 6 students sat with their Year 1 buddies and all of our students were invtied to receive the ashes on their foreheads and a blessing.

Prep and Buddy BBQ

On Tuesday 10th February we held our Prep and Buddy BBQ. The staff cooked sausag and the Quad was filled with games and fun activities for the children. It was a great occassion and families got to meet each other and be introduced to their child's buddy. Thank you to all who assisted and attended.

Building Update

The builders have been very busy since the last newsletter. The kitchen classroom is taking shape, the storage shed has the cladding completed and the roller doors have gone on and they are now working on framing the new bathrooms.
