PFA Community Survey –
What We Heard & What Happens Next
Thank you to the many families who took the time to complete our recent PFA community survey. We really appreciate the thoughtful feedback and insights that were shared.
What we heard
Overall, the feedback was very positive. Many families shared that they value the role the PFA plays in bringing the school community together through events and fundraising. Activities like the school disco, Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, sausage sizzles and who knew Zooper Doopers had such strong community support!?
Parents also shared some helpful suggestions. In particular, families said they would appreciate:
• clearer updates about what the PFA is working on
• more visibility around how funds raised are used to support the school
• earlier notice of events where possible
• opportunities to help in small ways, even if they can’t commit to regular volunteering
There were also some great ideas for the future, including interest in continuing the events families enjoy most and exploring the possibility of bringing back a school fair.
What we’ll do next
Based on your feedback, the PFA will focus on:
• sharing clearer updates about fundraising goals and how funds are used
• publishing an annual PFA events calendar where possible
• continuing the events the community clearly enjoys
• exploring new ideas such as a school fair
• creating easier ways for parents to contribute in small ways
Thank you again for your feedback and support. The PFA exists to support our school and strengthen our community, and we are run entirely by parent volunteers who contribute their time alongside work, family and many other commitments. We’re always grateful to those who can help in any way, big or small — and even the smallest contribution can make a big difference to what we’re able to do for the school community. Please be patient with us while we attempt to bring the above to life for the benefit of our school community.
