Reflection
NAIDOC Week
In recognition of the far-reaching contribution of First Nations peoples of Australia and the Torres Strait Islands we pay our respects to the people of the Yorta Yorta Nation, to their elders past, present and emerging and we give thanks for their stewardship of country for over 65 000 years. The culture of our First Nations Peoples is the oldest continuing culture on Earth.
The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.May we hold the wisdom of past, present and future in our hearts as we make decisions that free and empower all people today.
Creator God, You made all people with equal dignity and all of them are precious in your sight. Open our eyes, expand our thinking, and teach us how to champion the cause of change where it is needed so that the First Peoples of this Nation will receive the justice and respect due to them. We pray through Jesus Christ your Son. Amen.

St Anne’s College Grandparents Mass
You are invited to join us at St Mel’s Parish Church, 18 Hamilton Street Shepparton, for our annual St Anne and St Joachim Grandparents’ Mass on Thursday July 24 at 9.45am. This is a whole school event and all students will be bused to and from the Church on the morning. We look forward to seeing you there.
Vinnies Health Drive
Thank you for the amazing and generous response and support given to St Vincent de Paul, Shepparton South Conference over the past three weeks. This was an urgent request for hygiene products as their shelves were almost empty. St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) is an Australian-wide charity, run by volunteers, with offices in most towns and cities in Australia. The local Shepparton St Vincent de Paul conference supports hundreds of families in the local area as well as many individuals. Next term we will be considering the needs of those local rough sleepers who Vinnies provide support to in times of need and how we can help our local Vinnies in this space. Thank you once again for your generosity.
Term 2 Fundraising and Awareness
Vinnies PJ Day - Friday July 4
Our House and School Captains ran a fundraising day on Friday July 4 for St Vincent de Paul Winter appeal. We thank you for your continued support in fundraising efforts across this term. Every little bit helps.
Sacramental Program
Information regarding the Term 3 and 4 Sacramental Program for Reconciliation will in future College newsletters and St Mel’s Parish Church notices.
Pilgrims of Hope
Our St Anne's College Choir performed this amazing rendition of Andrew Chin's Pilgrims of Hope this week. What a fantastic show of talent!
God Bless and stay safe this school holidays.
