St Anne's Feast Day Mass & Grandparent's Day

To celebrate the St Anne’s Feast Day, the whole school will attend a Mass at St Mel’s Christ the King Church on Thursday 24 July from 9.15am to 11.30am. As St Anne was the grandmother of Jesus, she along with Jesus’ grandfather St Joachim, are the patron saints for Grandparents.

Therefore, we warmly invite grandparents of our students to attend Mass.

There will also be a chance for the Primary School students’ grandparents to visit the College the following day on Friday 25 July from 2-3pm to observe their grandchildren in class.

NAIDOC Week - Casual Clothes Day

As NAIDOC Week falls during the school holidays this year, St Anne's College will recognise this important event during Week 2 next term. A casual clothes day will be held on Thursday 31 July to raise funds for Opening the Doors Foundation. Students are asked to bring a donation on the day and our F.I.R.E Carriers will collect this during Pastoral Group meetings.

Students may choose to wear the following options:

1. Aboriginal Flag colours - red, black and yellow.

2. Torres Strait Islander colours - white, green, blue and black

3. Indigenous prints or clothes associated to clubs etc. - Rumbalara top, Indigenous print on a scarf, socks with flag, etc.

ICAS registrations close this month

Students are invited to register for ICAS - an online academic competition that gives students the opportunity to challenge their higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Writing, Spelling Bee, and Digital Technologies.

Registration for all subject areas closes on Monday 28 July at 11:59pm.

ICAS assessments will take place throughout August. Click on the link below for further information and how to register:

Term 3 - Breaktime Clubs & Activities

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club will be available to all students on Mondays from 8:30am – 8:50am. Students can access a toasty from the Community Lounge 2 windows (same area as canteen orders). Breakfast Club recognises many children and young people face challenges that prevent them from starting their day with breakfast and it is designed to ensure every student has the opportunity to enjoy breakfast in the morning.

2025 Public Holidays and Student Free Days

Following the implementation of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022, the number of student free days will increase from 12 to 14 in 2025.

Under the policy, primary schools are allowed nine student free days and secondary schools and P-12 settings are allowed 14 days. This is in line with the CES Ltd Policies and Procedures.

Please note, all days listed on the table below will be Student Free Days. There has been an increase in these to accomodate for Staff Professional Learning to undertake training for the new Magnify Sandhurst program.
