Principals Report

“Celebration is the spark that reminds us how far we’ve come — and how bright the future can be.”

What an exciting fortnight it has been at Monash SDS!

Last week we celebrated our Primary Graduation, a truly special milestone for our students as they complete their primary years and prepare to join our secondary school. It was a beautiful event filled with pride, joy and lots of smiles from students, families and staff. Congratulations again to all of our graduating primary students - we are so proud of you.

We are now looking forward to another one of the highlights of our school year - our Secondary School Graduation next Friday. This event is always incredibly meaningful for our whole school community as we acknowledge and farewell our students who will be leaving us at the end of the year. It promises to be a memorable and emotional celebration of their journeys.

Another wonderful moment this fortnight was our Colour Run, which brought so much fun, laughter and energy to the school. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a successful and vibrant day.

As we enter the final three weeks of the school year, our focus will be on:

  • enjoying our time together,
  • celebrating our students’ achievements, and
  • planning and preparing for a strong and successful 2026.

Thank you to everyone for your patience as we have navigated the temporary changes to the front office entrance over the past two weeks. From Monday, everything will be back to normal. Please note that we now have access control installed at the new front door, which means it will remain locked at all times. A doorbell has been fitted - simply press the bell and our office staff will let you in.

In some happy news, Pat, one of our Assistant Principals, begins his paternity leave today and will be on leave for the remainder of the year. We wish him and his family all the very best as they welcome their new baby. As Pat oversees our Primary section, if any primary parents or carers need support during this time, please contact me directly.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support of our school. We look forward to finishing the year with positivity, connection, and celebration.
