Culture, Excellence & Growth

Mr. Chris Spencer - Deputy Principal

As we come to the end of another school year at Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College, we pause to reflect with gratitude on all that has been achieved, celebrated, and learned together. Each year brings its own joys and challenges, and 2025 has been no exception. Yet through it all, our community has continued to embody the values inspired by St Mary MacKillop: courage, compassion, respect, and a steadfast commitment to doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well.

To our students – thank you for your hard work, your resilience, and the spirit you bring to our College each day. Whether you were striving for academic excellence, contributing to the arts or sports, supporting your peers, or quietly growing in confidence, you have each added something special to our community. We are proud of the way you have engaged in your learning, supported one another, and contributed to the life of the College.

To our staff – your dedication, professionalism, and unwavering care for our young people continue to shape Mary MacKillop into a place where students feel known, valued, and supported. Thank you for the countless hours spent planning, teaching, mentoring, encouraging, problem-solving, and leading. Your commitment to fostering a safe and vibrant learning environment makes an enormous difference in the lives of our students and their families.

To our parents and families – we are grateful for the trust you place in us and for the strong partnership we share in supporting your children. Your engagement, encouragement, and communication help create a foundation where students can flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. Thank you for walking alongside us throughout the year.

This year has also seen continued growth in our wellbeing programs, faith life, and learning opportunities. From classroom initiatives and liturgical celebrations to co-curricular achievements and community events, our College has continued to strengthen its mission of educating the whole person – mind, heart, body, and spirit.

As we look ahead to 2026, we do so with hope and excitement. Guided by our Catholic identity and the vision of St Mary MacKillop, we remain committed to nurturing a community where every young person can learn, flourish, and contribute with purpose.

We wish all students, families, and staff a safe, restful, and joy-filled Christmas season. May the holidays bring time for renewal, connection, and gratitude, and may the year ahead be filled with blessings for our entire College community.

Thank you for a wonderful year, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026.
