Principal's Report
Tim Furphy, Principal
Welcome to the second last week of the school year for 2025. Thanks to the NPS community for their support throughout the year for our school. It has certainly been a busy one, but one filled with many steps forward. I really do think the tag line “a little school with a big heart” fits with what we’re doing. It's a special place to come to work each day that's for sure.
Next year we wish Rai well for her endeavours during a year off from NPS, we look forward to hearing how things are going. We welcome De Chantel Hillis to our school who will be in charge of our 1/2/3 students.
With many families planning to begin holidays a little earlier, I'll take a minute to farewell those students and families leaving NPS next year. I hope and trust we have instilled positive values that will hold your kids in good stead for what's next to come in their educational journey.
Thanks to the dedicated team of staff at NPS. I say it a lot but we really lucky to have such caring, supportive and amazing people guiding our students each day.
It seems a little early to say (and I’ll say it again at assembly next week) but I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a happy and safe holidays and we'll be back to do it all again in 2026!
**Speaking of assembly, please return your raffle tickets (drawn at last assembly next Friday). The prizes are filling up nicely!

NPS Bush Dance
This year's rotation of end of year events is our Christmas bush dance. Those that have been before will know what fun it is. Students have been and will continue to learn a couple of dances to celebrate the end of year. Put your dancing shoes on and be ready for some crowd participation, this will be held in the evening of Friday 12th December.
Fish and Chip Party
Fish and chip party as voted by students will be on Tuesday 16th December. Students are welcome to dress in casual clothes on this day to celebrate the bake sale fundraising.
School Leaders
Similar to this year, we will be giving an opportunity to students to be a part of a leader team to support school initiatives, fundraising events and be a voice for their peers. Applications will begin early next year for those interested.
