Dear Families, 

As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding term, I would like to wish all of our students, families and staff a safe, relaxing and well-deserved holiday break.

Term 2 has been a fantastic term at Swan Hill North Primary School. Together, we have achieved so much, and it has been wonderful to see the learning, growth and achievements of our students across all year levels. 

Student reports reflect the progress that has been made throughout the semester, and we are incredibly proud of the effort and persistence our students have shown.

A reminder that Monday 13th July will be our Student, Parent and Teacher Chats. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate your child's achievements throughout Semester 1, discuss their progress, and work together to set goals for the semester ahead. 

We encourage all families to take the opportunity to meet with their child's classroom teacher. Please remember students only attend for the time of their meeting. It is not a normal school day.

If you are experiencing any difficulties booking through Compass, please contact the school office and we will be happy to assist.

We look forward to meeting with you and discussing your child’s progress and learning.

Paver Project 

Notes have been sent home with all students about our Paver Project. 

As part of the exciting new building works at our school, we are inviting members of our school & community, past and present, to take part in a special opportunity to leave a legacy by purchasing commemorative pavers. 

These pavers will be laid within the outdoor areas and pathways, creating a meaningful space that reflects the support, memories, and spirit of our school community. 

Families, students, staff, and the local community are all encouraged to participate and become a permanent part of this chapter in our school’s history. More forms are available from the office. 

Student Reports

Student reports have been released to families yesterday. 

Due to the current AEU industrial action, there were two different methods of report distribution this semester. 

AEU members may choose not to include written comments in student reports as part of the industrial action.

Reports that did not contain teacher comments were made available to families through Compass yesterday.

Reports that include teacher comments were sent home with students as a hard copy yesterday. 

If you have any questions regarding your child's report, please contact the school office.

Curriculum Day

Please note our next Curriculum Day will be on 24th August. There will be no students onsite this day. Staff will be involved in professional learning. 

School Council 

If you are interested in joining our School Council, I encourage you to Tim Dunstan or I for a conversation about what the role involves. Nominations for School Council are open. 

2027 Enrolments

If you know of any families who would like a tour of the school, please encourage them to contact the office.

Enrolments are open for 2027! 

Our Come and Try days were very successful with many families coming to the sessions. 

Duty of Care

Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
