Acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge the Dja Dja Wurrung community as the first people of Taradale and the surrounding areas. The Dja Dja Wurrung have been custodians and caretakers of the land and waters for many centuries and continue to perform age old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal. We acknowledge the Jaara people as the custodians of the lands and waters of Taradale and we thank them for the care they have taken of country, the waters, the mountains, trees and animals. We also recognise all other Indigenous people of Taradale.
“At Taradale Primary School we have the responsibility to serve our diverse geographic and human community. We respond to our community’s needs through a flexible approach that has relationships at its centre and that maintains visible connections both within and outside the school. We do this through a nature and play-based, experiential curriculum that is multi-aged. This allows us to respond with a personalised approach focused on a wide curriculum offering and feedback that leads to student progress”.
