From the Principal

Simon Harvey

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Staff and Friends of St Norbert College,

“Celebrating our Norbertine tradition and the richness of our cultures, we honour the past and move forward with renewed vigour”.

THE citation for our College value of Heritage warmly encapsulates our wonderful connection with the Norbertines worldwide, but especially here in Queens Park.

The wonderful cultures and traditions of the Norbertines was so clearly evident on Sunday, 14 November, at the celebration of the Profession of Simple Vows for Br Stephen and the Profession of Solemn Vows for Brother Kenneth and Brother John. We congratulate our Brothers on the very special occasion, extend our thanks for their commitment to the Norbertines, St Norbert College and the community of St Joseph’s and pray for God’s continued blessings in all that they do.

AND when we say,“…moving forward with renewed vigour…” the excitement is building for the 2021 instalment of the online broadcast of our Annual College Presentation Night, airing this Sunday, 21 November at 7.00pm. For the second consecutive year, St Norbert College Presentation Night is a virtual experience for families to sit together to enjoy on YouTube. The link has been shared with all students and families, but is also included here:  https://youtu.be/f1bkx76mRJc

I have had a glimpse and am so proud of the students and staff involved in putting this together and my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Miss Kerri Hilton and Mrs Lisa Quartermain, who have been simply amazing. This is a College event, truly not to be missed.

The good news of the 2021 year for our College is on display both, through this special Presentation Night broadcast and the 2021 edition of Koinonia, due for release to members of our College and Norbertine community in the coming days, so keep an eye out for that as well.

“Will spread the Good News to all that we meet, in all that we say and do”

(College Hymn – Prepared for All)

God Bless.

Mr S Harvey (Principal)
