Wishing everyone a safe and healthy summer...

Staying Active and Involved

As we head to the summer break, we are all looking forward to relaxing with the family. For your family, this might mean travelling, camping, gardening, swimming or any number of fabulous activities.

If you find yourself on those long, lazy January days looking for something to fill your time, here are some ideas:

  • start that book you've been meaning to read
  • learn something new - like how to tune your bike
  • challenge yourself to have a day away from technology
  • do a jigsaw
  • pack a picnic and go to a park or lake
  • visit a town you've never been to before
  • plan a surprise for a member of your family
  • bake a cake or build a Lego creation
  • redesign your bedroom, or
  • plan a catch up with some friends to play sport or go for a walk.

I will be heading off on my own adventure next year as Acting Principal of Natte Yallock Primary School and would like to say thank you to the families of Miners Rest for the active support and encouragement you have shown to all students and staff throughout what has been a very different year! I have certainly enjoyed becoming a member of this vibrant learning community.

On behalf of the Wellbeing office, I would like to wish you all a safe and healthy summer break, and hope that 2021 is a bumper year for all!
