Merbein Bush Playgroup

This year the walk will be opened by Fadak Alfayadh.  Fadak is a Melbourne-based community lawyer who works with people who are unable to afford legal representation including women experiencing family violence.  She is a writer and advocate, who has spoken across the country and internationally on topics including gender equality, refugees and asylum seekers, migrants and immigration, diversity, identity and belonging.  You can find out more about Fadak at www.fadakalfayadh.com

Silver Lining Ride

Ride is from Adelaide to Melbourne via Mildura/Gol Gol – 12 riders raising funds and awareness of Ovarian Cancer. All funds are directed in finding an  early detection of Ovarian Cancer and all funds go to Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

Local sportspersons and interested sporting following are invited to three opportunities to meet with riders and engage.

  1. Twelve riders will trek from Berri to Mildura on Sunday (180kms) arriving Bobby and Me, Hugh King Drive, Mildura estimated between 4-5pm Sunday 17 November
  2.  Dinner at Pizza Café Sunday night 7pm $25pp includes guest speakers Clint Stanaway and Thomas Sorensen. Please book by phone: 50 275080
  3. Monday morning breakfast at James King Park, Gol Gol. A cooked breakfast is provided by Buronga Gol Gol and District Lions club  (cost $12) everyone welcome. You are not obliged to have breakfast. Courtney Wakefield has accepted an invitation to attend.
