VCAL Leadership

We would love to announce our 2019 VCAL Leadership team. We have a wonderful spread of capable students who are committed to making positive changes to the VCAL program.

At Year 10, we have SRC representatives and Year 10 VCAL Leaders, Samara Williams and Megan Bell.

At Year 11, we have creative and innovative students and Year 11 VCAL Leaders, Ike Green and Madison Selim.

At Year 12, we have two sets of leaders. Our SRC leader and Valedictory leader (respectively), Cody Carter and Shayla Osmancevic. Both are Year 12 VCAL Leaders.

At the top, we have our Year 12 VCAL Captains. Congratulations to Mitch Plane and Sharona Bassarek. Both students are wonderful role models for our fellow VCAL students.

Congratulations to all of the leadership group!

The group meets each Monday at lunchtime to discuss important VCAL and school matters. Their first meeting will be to design and order their own leadership badges and also to write up VCAL students expectations.

Expect to hear more from them in upcoming COGs!

KHPS Program

Year 11 and 12 VCAL students have spent numerous days at Karingal Heights Primary School over the term in their respective programs. Year 11 students have worked in the Grade 2/3 class to assist with Art and Social Skills activities. They even structured and delivered their own lessons. Year 12 students have completed mini-projects involving painting and construction in the Chill Out space. As always, we thank the KHPS community for accepting us and letting us help beautify their school. The Year 10 students will get their chance to attend KHPS next term. The pictures here show some of their great work.

VCAL @ the GP!

Year 12 students ventured out to the 2019 Australian Grand Prix on March 15th. The students planned out their transport route and enjoyed a sunny day at one of Melbourne’s most populated events. After some time in the Technology and Innovation Hub, students watched Formula 4 and then Formula 1 cars race around the lakeside track. The students managed to witness the Torro Rosso blunder that cost him the front of his expensive car. Thank you to all students for being perfectly behaved and for setting up future Year 12 students to attend the event.
