Mr Irwin's Message

Mr Irwin's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s Newsletter. Term 3 has come and gone by so quickly. Spring has sprung and it is so nice to be enjoying slightly warmer weather and sunnier days to end the term.

Review Complete

Our School Review concluded last week. Thanks to those parents who provided feedback along the way via the survey, or, at the Parent Forum. We now have some clear strategic direction for the next four years and will commence developing a plan of improvement in Term 4. One piece of information I want to relay from the review that the panel were emphatic on was the quality of teaching that occurs in our school.

This was a significant highlight of the process and important for our community to be aware of. It is satisfying for our community to know that the teaching that occurs in our school is held in such high regard.

Farewell Miss B 😢😢

Last week we notified students that the much loved Miss B would be hanging up her smock at Teesdale at the end of term 4, as she was needed for additional duties at her base school, Footscray West. Miss B has been such a bundle of enthusiasm and energy in her time at Teesdale and will be sorely missed. However we wish her the very best as she commences in her new role in Term 4.

Save the Dates Term 4 - Christmas at Turtle Bend/Pupil Free Days

Across Term 4 in Performing Arts, students will begin practicing some Christmas Carols to perform as part of the Teesdale Twilight Market and Carols on Friday December 16th at Turtle Bend.

This coincides with our last day of school with a 1:30pm dismissal as Monday and Tuesday (19th and 20th December) are both pupil free days. OSHC will be available on these days and bookings are already open.

Friday - Pupil Free Day

A reminder to families that this Friday is a Pupil Free Day. Thursday is the last day of term for students and we will finish at 3:15 with final assembly at 2:45pm.

Stay safe around Teesdale over the holidays. If you visit the school please be respectful with how you use facilities. Wear a helmet when you’re riding and scooting around and we look forward to seeing you back for a busy Term 4!

Bye for now.

Healthy Lunch Box Choices and Nude Food

Please help reduce waste in our school by packing 'Nude Food' (food without excess packaging) in your child's lunch box. The Healthy Lunch Box Pick & Mix posters below provide some good Nude Food options.
