Sustainability Corner

Hey there Rippers!

Guess what this Friday 31st July is…? (drum roll please...)

SCHOOLS TREE DAY!

And… this Sunday 2nd August is National Tree Day.

We all know that nature improves our moods and alleviates anxiety. Did you know it is also known to boost our creativity?

Now more than ever - when we are cooped up inside so much of the time  - getting out with nature is so important for overall wellbeing.

With the cancellation of public planting events and tree planting at our school, we're encouraging everyone to share a photo connecting with nature or simply hugging a tree #HugaTreeforNTD

It is important to remember to be Covid safe and if you chose to leave your house for photos with nature to wear your mask. We also encourage all who want to take a snap hugging a tree to only the hug trees on your property.

We’d also love you to share your photos with us at RPS, so we can showcase them in our next newsletter and on social media.

Please send photos to Meagan at ripponlea.ps@education.vic.gov.au by Wed 19th Aug.

HAPPY TREE HUGGING LOVELIES!
